Blog types

December 1, 2008

my blog type:

INTP – The Thinkers

The logical and analytical type. They are especially attuned to difficult creative and intellectual challenges and always look for something more complex to dig into. They are great at finding subtle connections between things and imagine far-reaching implications.

They enjoy working with complex things using a lot of concepts and imaginative models of reality. Since they are not very good at seeing and understanding the needs of other people, they might come across as arrogant, impatient and insensitive to people that need some time to understand what they are talking about.

Ouch! As an INFJ I had to winch at “insensitive” in that second paragraph! Thinking is actually my tertiary functional preference but one I had hoped to develop more through blog writing – so this might not be so far off!

Very interesting. I vary between an ENFJ and an INFJ but not sure how my blog would score on the Myers-Briggs.

I’m an INFJ too – only one percent of the population, so they say, and yet I’ve come across so many here in the blogworld. I think that combination must be a very common one when it comes to bookish virtual interaction!

Happy New Year, KirstenJane – it seemed a while since I’d seen you, so I hope you are fine and cheerful.
